G7 to Release 100 Million Barrels of Gasoil to Stabilize Market

The Group of Seven (G7) nations have announced a coordinated effort to inject 100 million barrels of gasoil into the market over four months, aiming to prevent potential supply disruptions and ease market tensions. The group also reiterated its commitment against restricting energy exports among member states.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the member states of the Group of Seven (G7) have declared that a significant and prompt release of gasoil into the market will be undertaken by the group and its partners. This announcement was made via a statement, as reported by Al Jazeera and published by Mehr News Agency.

The statement from the G7 emphasized their commitment to avoiding the imposition of restrictions on energy and product exports among member countries. It further detailed that, in coordination with the International Energy Agency, 100 million barrels of gasoil will be immediately supplied over a four-month period.

The G7’s declaration also called upon all producers to refrain from implementing sanctions that could exacerbate tensions within the market.

In another section of their statement, the G7 reiterated claims against Tehran and Moscow, asserting that Iran must cease its attacks on neighboring countries. The group also indicated that sanctions against Russia will continue.
