Russia Declares NATO Infrastructure in Afghanistan Unacceptable

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the presence of NATO infrastructure in Kabul is unacceptable, even as Moscow pledges continued humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. The ongoing economic development of the nation proceeds despite Western actions, according to Russian assessments.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov declared that the establishment of NATO infrastructure in Kabul is unacceptable during the Moscow format consultations on Afghanistan. He emphasized that Russia will persist in sending humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, noting that the Afghan economy is continuing its development trajectory despite actions taken by Western nations.

The eighth regular round of consultations under the “Moscow format” concerning Afghanistan convened in Moscow. The meeting was attended by special representatives and senior officials from Afghanistan, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Delegations from Belarus and Egypt were also invited as guests.

Participants in the Moscow format consultations on Afghanistan are set to concentrate on political and economic cooperation between regional countries and Kabul. Furthermore, the discussions will address the enhancement of regional collaboration in combating terrorism and drug trafficking.

Following the conclusion of the session, the participating parties are scheduled to issue a joint statement.
