Israeli Official Admits Failure to Expel Iranian Ambassador from Lebanon

A senior Israeli military official has expressed disappointment with the Lebanese government and army, admitting that their plan to expel the Iranian ambassador from Beirut has failed.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Hebrew newspaper Maariv has reported that the Israeli military is disillusioned with the performance of the Lebanese government and army. A senior Israeli military official claimed that Lebanese entities are not adhering to their commitments.

The official further stated that Iran continues its activities in Beirut, and the Lebanese government’s decision to expel the Iranian ambassador did not materialize. He also voiced frustration over the perceived ineffectiveness of the Lebanese army in a “so-called experimental zone” in southern Lebanon.

These claims from the Israeli official come amidst ongoing ceasefire violations and aggressive actions by the occupying army in southern Lebanon. Local sources report that an Israeli drone bombed the village of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa today. Additionally, a Lebanese citizen was killed by the explosion of unexploded ordnance left over from the conflict in the south of the country.
