Accordingly, the legislation is supposed to give the Democratic-controlled Senate and the Republican-controlled Congress more time to pass the country’s $1.59 trillion budget bill for the new fiscal year, which begins in October 2023. In this bill, the budget of government institutions will be maintained at the current level, but two new dates have been set for the expiration of some of its provisions: the budget for agriculture, food, transportation, Housing, energy, military construction, and veterans programs, which expire on Friday, January 19, will be extended through March 1. Among them, the Ministry of Defense, Internal Security and Foreign Affairs, which expires on February 2, will be extended until March 8.
