Hamas Leader Warns of Dangerous Israeli Scheme Targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas leader Majed Abu Qutish has alerted the international community to a dangerous new scheme orchestrated by the Israeli regime concerning the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Abu Qutish, a prominent figure within the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, stated that the Israeli plan involves partitioning parts of the mosque and transforming them into Jewish synagogues.
Abu Qutish elaborated that the escalating incursions by settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and the performance of Talmudic rituals within its courtyards are integral to a broader effort to impose a new reality and alter its Islamic identity. He highlighted that these intensified actions, particularly during Jewish holidays, coupled with increased restrictions on Palestinian worshippers, do not alter the mosque’s Islamic heritage nor grant any rights to settlers at the holy site.
The Hamas leader further asserted that these measures are part of an organized, systematic plan to solidify Jewish presence within Al-Aqsa, paving the way for the separation of its sections and their subsequent conversion into synagogues. He drew a parallel to a similar action previously implemented at the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.
Abu Qutish stressed the critical need to confront these plans, urging for strengthened Palestinian presence and spiritual retreats within Al-Aqsa. He also called for increased Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic activism to support and protect this sacred site. He concluded by firmly stating that the entire Al-Aqsa Mosque compound is the exclusive right of Muslims and that any attempt to divide it will be thwarted by the steadfastness and resistance of the Palestinian people.
