According to the Fars news agency reporter in Tashkent, the fourth shipment of Sofosbuvir-400mg anti-hepatitis C drug in the amount of 6720 units was sent from Egypt to Tashkent.
It should be noted that Uzbekistan has reached an agreement with the Egyptian government to send 800,000 units (approximately 40 tons) of the drugs “Daclatasvir” and “Sofosbuvir” against hepatitis C, as well as “Entecavir” against hepatitis B, with a total value of 4 million 200 thousand dollars. .
In 2023, a part of these drugs worth 696 thousand dollars was gradually sent to Uzbekistan.

A total of 6720 units of Sofosbuvir-400mg in 12 boxes will be provided to the patients of the Virology Research Institute of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
It is reminded that this humanitarian action is in accordance with the agreement Obtained within the framework of the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Egypt on February 20 and 21, 2023. These humanitarian aid have been sent from the government account to support hepatitis patients and finance treatment.
