Macron met with Donald Tusk on Monday. The Prime Minister of Poland said in Paris: Everything that the European Union does to supply arms and ammunition to Ukraine should also be aimed at strengthening the European defense industry.
Macron also said: This will help us increase our production capacity and make Europe a defense force complementing NATO.
The French President also welcomed the new bilateral agreement between France and Poland announced that it will include closer cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.
Macron said: This can be a motivation and stimulus for Europe. France and Poland were among the countries that had the most comprehensive plans to build new nuclear power plants. Macron said that these will serve to increase energy security and achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
Donald Tusk and Emmanuel Macron also emphasized that the failure of Ukraine they do not accept. By doing this, they indirectly distanced themselves from the idea of Olaf Schulz, the chancellor of Germany, who said that Ukraine would be lost without American help.
