Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar: Netanyahu’s goal is to prolong the war

According to Al Jazeera, Majid al-Ansari, spokesman for Qatar’s foreign ministry, said: “The purpose of Netanyahu’s statement asking Qatar to pressure Hamas to release Israeli prisoners is to delay and prolong the war.”
He added: Netanyahu knows that Qatar has adhered to mediation efforts to resolve the crisis and release prisoners from the first day. The temporary ceasefire, which led to the release of 109 prisoners, proved that negotiation is the only way to return the prisoners and end the war.

The spokesman of Qatar’s Foreign Ministry stated: We reject the accusations of the Prime Minister of Israel regarding Qatar’s efforts to rebuild Gaza and aid to the Palestinian nation in this regard. Netanyahu pretends as if Qatar’s efforts mean financial aid to Hamas, while he knows that all these actions are carried out in coordination with Israel and related parties.

He added: We emphasize the continuation of our mediation efforts and we do not attach importance to Netanyahu’s statements, whose purpose is to escape from our political crises. We ask Netanyahu to focus on negotiations that benefit the security of the region and end the suffering caused by the war.
