The Commissioner of the Palestinian Relief and Refugee Agency (UNRWA) emphasized the necessity of sending aid by land instead of air. |
report Mehr News Agency quoted from Palestine Elium, Philip Lazzarini, Commissioner of the Palestinian Relief and Refugee Agency (UNRWA) stressed the need to send aid by land instead of air.
The UNRWA commissioner announced: aid should be sent to Gaza through the land crossing and the truck carrying the aid should be allowed to enter Gaza, and aid cannot be sent by air. to replace land aid.
He added: We demand the opening of land crossings for sending humanitarian aid to Gaza. We are facing a severe crisis that is not only related to food, but the situation in Gaza is very catastrophic and we have never seen a crisis like this.
UNRWA Commissioner stressed: Gaza is on the verge of starvation and children are dying due to hunger and thirst. There must be political will to open land crossings for aid trucks to enter Gaza.
He added: So far, we have not received a document that confirms Israel’s claims against our personnel about participation in the October 7th attack. It is wrong to dismantle UNRWA before reaching a permanent political solution.
