Today (Sunday), the United Nations Human Rights Office announced in a report documenting 26 attacks by the Israeli occupation army on Palestinians who were waiting to receive humanitarian aid in Gaza.
This international body announced in its report that the said attacks started in the middle of January, and the last one happened on Thursday evening of last week in “Al-Quit” square in the southeast of Gaza City.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, 20 Palestinians were martyred and more than 150 others were injured in this attack.
The UN human rights office also said Thursday’s attack was the 10th in March.
But the deadliest attack dates back to the end of February, when an Israeli army tank opened fire on hundreds of people who were waiting to receive humanitarian aid in Gaza’s al-Nablesi square, and at the same time, Israeli soldiers opened fire. A crime that left more than 100 martyrs and 750 wounded.
The attacks of the occupiers on convoys carrying humanitarian aid and the population receiving aid are in a situation where hunger and malnutrition have become a new factor in the martyrdom of the people of Gaza.
The Relief and Employment Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) reported yesterday that severe malnutrition has covered all of Gaza and one out of every three children under the age of two suffers from malnutrition.
