China and Russia have come closer in recent years within the framework of the alliance strategy against the West. Until now, China has neither condemned nor openly supported Russia’s military operations in Ukraine, while at the same time trying to strengthen its relations with Moscow. The cooperation between China and Russia is not only in the field of military and security, but also in areas such as economy, politics, diplomacy, culture, science and technology, and public health. It is very flexible and comprehensive and in some cases very focused.
Li Zhanshu, Chairman of the Chinese Parliament (Standing Committee of the Chinese National People’s Congress) in January of last year, in a meeting with the heads of factions of the Russian State Duma, emphasized that China fully supports all of Russia’s actions. In Ukraine, it understands and supports these actions to protect its interests.
On February 24 (5th of March 1400), the President of Russia announced in a televised speech that in response to the request of the Donbass republics in eastern Ukraine and also in order to “de-Nazify and demilitarize Ukraine”, issues the order to start “special military operations” in Ukraine to protect the people who have been abused and massacred by the Kiev regime for eight years, and to cleanse Ukraine of “neo-Nazis”.
