Holding Eid al-Fitr prayer in Al-Aqsa Mosque + pictures
Tens of thousands of Muslims held this year's Eid al-Fitr prayer in Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the Zionists' prohibition. |
Al-Mayadeen reporter in the West Bank reported that the Eid al-Fitr prayer is being held in Al-Aqsa Mosque with the presence of 60,000 Palestinian worshipers.
According to Al Jazeera, this year’s Eid al-Fitr prayers will be held relatively quietly in Al-Aqsa Mosque, because the Zionist authorities have prevented thousands of Palestinians living in the occupied West Bank from attending this holy place.
Eid al-Fitr has arrived this year while more than 180 days have passed since the war in Gaza. According to the Ministry of Health of Gaza, at least 33,000 Palestinians have been martyred as a result of the attacks of the Zionist regime, most of whom were women and children. As Eid begins, the besieged Gaza Strip is still on the brink of famine. The World Health Organization started reporting child deaths due to complications from malnutrition last month. So far, at least 27 people (23 of whom were children) have died due to acute malnutrition and lack of water in northern Gaza.
Some Palestinian Muslims have held their Eid al-Fitr prayers this year in the ruins of the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.
