Israeli Official Acknowledges Iran’s Superiority in Higher Education and Scientific Output

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ami Moyal, head of the Israeli regime’s Planning and Budget Committee, acknowledged the existing disparity in the higher education system between Iran and the occupying entity. Moyal stated that Iran educates 234,000 students annually in engineering fields, a figure significantly higher than that of the Israeli regime, where the number of engineering students does not exceed 7,000 per year.
Moyal further noted that this gap is also evident in scientific article publication, with the occupied territories publishing 22,700 scientific articles and research papers annually, compared to Iran’s 71,900. These remarks were made during the first meeting of the Subcommittee on Higher Education in the Israeli regime’s parliament.
Naama Lazimi, a Member of the Israeli regime’s Parliament, also pointed to the emigration of academics and physicians from the occupied territories. Lazimi stated that in 2023, the Israeli regime witnessed a widespread exodus of doctors and academics. She described this situation as a negative record compared to the number of people returning to the region, adding that trainee physicians are choosing to emigrate due to better conditions abroad.
