Macron Condemns Israeli Attacks on Lebanon as Unjustifiable

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that France and Indonesia are seriously working to maintain Lebanon’s stability and sovereignty. He made these remarks during a joint press conference with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto following their meeting at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
Macron highlighted that both nations participate in the UNIFIL forces in Lebanon, noting that several French and Indonesian soldiers have lost their lives during their missions with the force. He emphasized that there is no justification for Israel’s attacks on Lebanon, describing the current situation as unbearable and unacceptable.
The French President reiterated calls for an end to these attacks, the restoration of peace, the resumption of negotiations, and the achievement of a lasting solution. He also pointed out that over 3,000 people have been killed in Lebanon, with approximately one million individuals displaced.
Official statistics indicate that since March 2nd, widespread attacks by the Israeli regime on Lebanon have resulted in 3,269 martyrs and 9,840 wounded, displacing over one million people. Concurrently, Beirut and the Tel Aviv regime are engaged in direct negotiations, mediated by the United States, to reach an agreement aimed at ending the conflict in Lebanon.
The Israeli regime continues to occupy parts of southern Lebanon. Some of these areas have been under occupation for decades, while others were occupied during the recent wars in 2023 and 2024. During the latest aggression, Israeli forces advanced up to approximately 10 kilometers into Lebanon’s southern borders.
