Netanyahu Claims Expansion of Lebanon Operations Amidst Hezbollah Attacks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed an expansion of the Israeli army’s military activities in Lebanon. He stated that he has ordered the Israeli military to broaden the scope of its operations in the country.
Netanyahu asserted that his directives are aimed at deepening operations and gaining control over areas under the influence of Hezbollah in Lebanon. He further claimed that the occupation of Al-Shaqif is an additional phase in their strategy, with actions being taken on all fronts, including Syria, Gaza, and Lebanon, to establish buffer zones.
The Israeli Prime Minister suggested that while their operations may be time-consuming, they will ensure complete security for residents in the north, mirroring the security provided to those in the south. These statements from Netanyahu come at a time when Hezbollah has inflicted considerable damage on Israeli military personnel in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah issued a statement detailing its actions in defense of Lebanon and its people, in response to alleged Israeli ceasefire violations and attacks on villages in southern Lebanon. The statement indicated that resistance fighters directly struck an Israeli Merkava tank in the town of Al-Biyada with guided missiles at 11 PM Beirut time the previous night. Additionally, Hezbollah reported targeting gatherings of Israeli military vehicles in Al-Biyada with rocket fire throughout the night and into the morning.
Meanwhile, Israeli media sources reported that air raid sirens sounded in Haifa Bay, Acre, and their surrounding areas following the detection of missile launches from Lebanon. The approach of a drone towards the Zar’it area in the western Galilee also triggered air raid sirens in that region.
