US Senator Warns of ‘Absolute Catastrophe’ in Conflict with Iran

Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy has declared that a war with Iran would be an ‘absolute catastrophe’ for the United States, citing severe economic impacts and unintended consequences for global power dynamics.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, prominent US Senator Chris Murphy from Connecticut stated that any conflict with Iran would result in an “absolute catastrophe” for the United States. He elaborated that the direct impact on American families and businesses would be substantial, potentially driving gasoline prices to $6 per gallon.

The senator further asserted that such a war would be “humiliating” for the United States and would ultimately strengthen Iran. Additionally, Murphy pointed out that the conflict has compelled the U.S. to suspend sanctions on Russian oil, thereby empowering Russia as a consequence.
