Kuwait Claims Iranian Attack Damaged Airport Radar

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera and Mehr News Agency, Kuwait‘s Civil Aviation Authority alleges that an Iranian attack on Kuwait International Airport’s radar, which was reportedly conducted in response to U.S. operations, inflicted financial damages on radar facilities and air traffic management equipment. The incident also led to a brief, partial suspension of flights and resulted in several injuries.
As a precautionary measure, Kuwait temporarily closed its airspace for over two hours following the alleged incident.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran reportedly launched attacks on targets in Kuwait and Bahrain early Thursday morning, in retaliation for U.S. strikes on Iranian soil. These actions are framed as part of a broader response to U.S. military presence and actions in the Middle East, following what Iran describes as illegal U.S. aggression against the country.
