Hamas Condemns Somaliland Leader’s Visit to Occupied Territories

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas has vehemently denounced the visit of the leader of the breakaway region of Somaliland to occupied territories and his intentions to legitimize the occupation in Jerusalem. The Palestinian movement issued a sharp and explicit statement detailing its strong disapproval of these actions.
Hamas unequivocally condemned the meetings between officials from Somaliland and leaders of the Israeli regime. In its statement, the movement declared, “We condemn in the strongest terms the action of the leader of the so-called separatist region (Somaliland) in traveling to the Israeli regime and meeting with its leaders, and we deem it unacceptable. The criminal records of these leaders against the Palestinian people and the Arab nations are well-known.”
The movement further elaborated on the context of its condemnation, stating, “These are the same individuals who have occupied the lands of Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon, desecrated the holy sites of the Arab and Islamic nations, and are working day and night to Judaize the city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque – the first Qibla of Muslims.”
In another segment of its statement, Hamas addressed the potential plan to open a representative office for the Somaliland region in Jerusalem. It emphasized, “The decision by the leader of this region to open an embassy in occupied Jerusalem is a political error, a violation of all international norms and laws, and a blatant disregard for the unified Arab and Islamic stance on the issue of Jerusalem. This is an extremely dangerous behavior that must be immediately retracted.”
Warning about the repercussions of this burgeoning relationship, Hamas called upon Islamic and Arab international bodies to prevent such a move. “We call upon the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and all relevant parties to intervene at all levels and prevent this separatist region from breaking the unified global front against occupation. We must not allow this decline and fall to continue in the path of relations with a fascist regime that continues to perpetrate the most heinous massacres in contemporary history,” the statement concluded.
