Kamala Harris Criticizes Trump’s Iran War as Election-Driven, Cites Economic Impact on Americans

Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has sharply criticized Donald Trump’s administration for initiating a war against Iran, labeling it an election-driven conflict that has placed significant financial burdens on American citizens.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kamala Harris, former Vice President of the United States, has criticized the policies of Donald Trump regarding Iran and what she described as an aggressive war against the Islamic Republic. Harris asserted that the conflict was not desired by the American people but rather was an election-driven initiative by a president she characterized as self-centered and driven by personal interests.

Speaking on the ongoing situation, Harris noted that the current framework for negotiations is still tentative, and its ultimate outcome remains uncertain. However, she emphasized a direct link between this election-driven war and the surge in fuel prices. She estimated that each American has incurred an average of $500 in additional costs since the conflict began.

To put this figure into perspective, Harris highlighted that the average American is only $400 away from bankruptcy, meaning an unexpected expense of $400 could push them to the brink. She pointed out that while a sudden $400 expense can lead to bankruptcy for an ordinary American, this war has imposed an additional $500 cost, largely due to increased fuel prices.

Harris also critiqued Trump’s approach to negotiations, suggesting that he portrays any negotiation as a victory. She recalled that the situation has reverted to a state similar to that after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), an agreement from which Trump himself withdrew.
