US Official Claims Israel-Hezbollah Ceasefire Agreement

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Reuters, citing an American official, reported that Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to halt hostilities and enter into a ceasefire starting at 4 PM local time today. This assertion comes despite continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon since the morning, which appear to contradict the Islamabad agreement. Immediately following the news, media outlets reported that the town of Kfartabnit in Nabatieh was targeted by an Israeli airstrike.
Channel 13 of the Israeli Hebrew media, quoting an Israeli official, stated, “We are currently in a ceasefire, and if Hezbollah does not attack us, the timing of war from our side is not [relevant].” The Israeli official further added, “Our forces will remain in southern Lebanon, and we have operational freedom against threats.” Channel 12, citing another Israeli official, announced, “The ceasefire has begun, and we will remain in the security zone. If we are attacked, we will respond.”
