Pakistan Expresses Hope for Positive Outcomes as Initial Switzerland Talks Commence

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, preliminary technical meetings have commenced in Switzerland with the participation of delegation members from four countries, as reported by Pakistani television, citing Al Jazeera.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Pakistani delegation is in Switzerland to engage in negotiations related to the implementation of the Islamabad memorandum.
The Ministry of Interior of Pakistan emphasized that proceedings are moving in the right direction and expressed hope that the Switzerland sessions will lead to positive and useful outcomes.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir arrived in Zurich to attend the Switzerland negotiations between Iran and the United States.
These discussions are slated to take place within the framework of an understanding between the two countries to cease conflicts in the region, focusing on the war in Iran and the cessation of aggression by the Zionist regime against Lebanon.
J.D. Vance, the Vice President of the United States, also arrived in Switzerland shortly before to participate in the commencement of a new round of talks between Washington and Tehran.
The issue of Lebanon, under the shadow of repeated aggressions by the Zionist regime, is a central focus of this round of negotiations. CNN reported, citing an informed diplomat, that an emergency session is dedicated to the developments in Lebanon at the beginning of the negotiation agenda, making it the first topic for discussion between the American and Iranian delegations.
