IAEA Director General Grossi Claims Plans for Nuclear Facility Inspections in Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), has claimed that the organization intends to schedule inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities in the near future and considers carrying out these inspections as swiftly as possible to be the best option.
Grossi stated that the agency’s primary priority is to confirm the location of high-enriched uranium reserves in Iran. He asserted, “The agency has a clear idea of the location of these reserves, but it is essential for Iran to also provide the relevant information to the agency.”
The IAEA Director General further claimed that negotiations with Iranian officials will commence soon to determine the timeline and specifics of the inspections. He also asserted that the responsibility for conducting inspections rests with the agency and that Tehran will decide whether to invite the United States or other observers.
Previously, Ismail Bokaie, the spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed claims by American officials regarding the commencement of nuclear negotiations. He stated, “We have had no meeting with the Director General of the IAEA, nor is there any plan for agency inspectors to visit nuclear facilities. There is no protocol regarding this matter. As a member of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, we will continue the established procedures, which are very clear.”
