Trump Criticizes US Gas Prices Amidst Falling Oil Costs

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump took to his social media platform, ‘Truth Social,’ to voice his dissatisfaction with the persistent high gasoline prices in the United States. He criticized major oil companies for failing to lower their prices in line with the substantially reduced costs of crude oil.
Trump stated, “These [oil] prices are dropping like a rock! In other words, customers are being overcharged.” He announced, “I have instructed the Department of Justice to immediately look into this matter. Gas prices should start coming down much faster than I am seeing!”
This commentary follows a period where, after the commencement of what the U.S. and the Zionist regime described as an “illegal incursion” into Iranian territory on February 28, 2026 (Esfand 9, 1404), a surge in prices across all products, particularly gasoline, led to widespread criticism among U.S. senators and officials.
