Taliban Denounces Pakistani Airstrikes in Eastern Afghanistan, Citing Civilian Casualties

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Taliban government spokesperson, Zabiullah Mujahid, announced that Pakistani airstrikes in eastern Afghanistan have resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of civilians. He stated that the aerial attacks targeted the provinces of Paktika, Paktia, and Kunar.
Mujahid characterized Pakistan’s military attacks against Afghanistan’s border regions as an “aggressive and cowardly act.” Pakistani sources reported late last night that the country had targeted parts of Afghan territory with airstrikes hours earlier.
Pakistani officials stated that these strikes were in response to an attack on a Rangers outpost in the city of Karachi the previous day. According to Pakistani sources, over 30 individuals lost their lives and more than 100 others were injured as a result of these airstrikes. The Pakistani army officially announced that at least 29 militants were killed during a joint ground and air operation in the border areas with Afghanistan.
