Trump Claims Iran Requested Doha Meeting for Tomorrow

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that Iran has requested a meeting in Doha, scheduled for tomorrow, to discuss ongoing negotiations between the two nations. This announcement follows earlier reports of a potential shift in the venue for technical discussions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency,

U.S. President Donald Trump claimed on Truth Social that Iran has requested a meeting, which is slated to take place in Doha tomorrow. This assertion comes amid reports concerning the ongoing dialogue between Iran and the United States.

Earlier, Al Mayadeen reported that a technical meeting between Iran and the U.S., previously planned for Switzerland, had been moved to Qatar. The New York Times, citing a senior U.S. official, also suggested that technical negotiations with Iran regarding the implementation of an understanding were still scheduled for the coming days.

The U.S. official, in reference to recent exchanges between Iran and the U.S., asserted that no discussions had been canceled and that communication lines remained open. This contradicts earlier claims by The Wall Street Journal, which had reported the cancellation of this week’s talks in Switzerland.
