The Ministry of Interior had previously reported that the incident was caused by an improvised explosive device detonated in a café near the Palace of Justice. Security forces and emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to transfer the injured and secure the surrounding area.
No individual or group has yet claimed responsibility for this act of terrorism. Syrian security officials emphasized their complete intelligence oversight and stated that ongoing clearance operations are underway to identify and apprehend destructive elements.
