Infant Granddaughter of Iran’s Supreme Leader Martyred in Leadership Headquarters Attack

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, during the solemn farewell ceremony for the martyred leader, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, held at Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran, a photograph was presented of Zahra Mohammadi Golpayegani, the 14-month-old granddaughter of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution. She was martyred in the attack on the leadership headquarters, and her image significantly impacted the atmosphere of the ceremony, moving many attendees to tears.

Previously, Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammadi Golpayegani, Head of the Office of the Martyred Leader of the Revolution, had shown a picture of the martyred leader’s granddaughter, who was also his own granddaughter and was martyred in the attacks on the leadership headquarters. He had stated, ‘Look at the picture of this child. What sin did this angel commit?’

He also recounted his conversation with the martyred leader, saying, ‘I told him that you have a family whose comfort depends on you.’ The martyred leader responded, ‘God willing, my family and I will be martyred together.’
