Iran Parliament Speaker: Trump Should Focus on US Malnutrition Rates

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has sharply criticized remarks by former U.S. President Donald Trump, urging him to address hunger and malnutrition within the United States rather than commenting on other nations.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, reacted on social media to what he termed as “extravagant remarks” by former U.S. President Donald Trump directed at the Iranian people. Ghalibaf stated, “Imagine that more than forty million of your own citizens are dependent on food stamps (the government’s food assistance program), yet simultaneously you label another country as ‘hungry.’ This statement is not a simple declaration or claim; it is a projection, meaning you attribute your own problems to others. Keep your advice and recommendations about SNAP (the U.S. food assistance program) to yourselves. We will decide about our own assets. You should think about the malnutrition rates in your own country.”
