According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) have completed all organizational procedures for the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, which is set to be held this Wednesday in the provinces of Najaf al-Ashraf and Karbala al-Mu’alla. This information was published by Mehr News Agency, citing the website of the PMF Organization.
Yaser Hussein Al-Issawi, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations of the PMF, announced the readiness for the funeral. He stated that his visit to Najaf al-Ashraf was to review the executive, service, and security plans developed by the Operations Command of the Euphrates al-Awsat, with the participation of various PMF sectors. These sectors include commands, directorates, intelligence and security bodies, medical and relief units, and other support units. Responsibility for supporting and organizing the ceremony has been assigned to several PMF brigades.
Al-Issawi added that these plans encompass both Najaf al-Ashraf and Karbala al-Muqaddasah provinces and were formulated through complete coordination among PMF units, security forces, and other relevant entities. He further elaborated that alternative service and executive plans have been arranged to ensure the smooth progression of the funeral ceremony, underscoring the high level of preparedness and the facilities established for its successful execution.
Al-Issawi emphasized that the funeral ceremony serves as a message of loyalty to the blood of martyrs who lost their lives in the wake of the Zionist-American aggression. He highlighted Iraq’s honor in hosting this event and welcoming participants, referring to the “prominent position” of the martyred Sayyid Ali Khamenei in the Islamic world and among religious figures.
