North Korea Conducts Strategic Cruise Missile Test

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the test-firing of a strategic cruise missile and evaluated combat systems of the new naval destroyer ‘Kang Gon’ on Wednesday. The evaluations included assessing the vessel’s target identification, data processing, and integrated fire systems.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Reuters, citing the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un supervised the test-firing of a strategic cruise missile. He also evaluated the anti-ship, anti-submarine, and air defense systems of the naval destroyer ‘Kang Gon’.
The tests were conducted on Wednesday as part of an assessment of the combat systems of this newly built destroyer. The evaluations focused on the vessel’s capabilities in target identification, data processing, integrated fire control systems, naval guns, automatic cannons, and electronic warfare equipment.
