Funeral Held for Martyred Leader and Family in Tehran
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a funeral prayer ceremony was held this morning, Sunday, at Tehran’s Grand Mosalla for the martyred leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, his son-in-law Dr. Mesbah-ul-Hoda Bagheri-Kani, his daughter Zahra Haddad-Adel, his granddaughter Zahra Mohammadi-Golpayegani (14 months old), and Seyyedeh Bushra Hosseini-Khamenei. The prayers were led by Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani, a senior cleric.
Three separate prayers were performed. The first was for the martyred leader himself. The second prayer was for the martyred Mesbah-ul-Hoda Bagheri-Kani, Zahra Haddad-Adel, and Seyyedeh Bushra Khamenei. The third prayer was for the martyred Zahra Mohammadi-Golpayegani.
The remains are scheduled to be paraded in Tehran tomorrow and will then be taken to Qom for further ceremonies. On Wednesday, July 8th, processions will take place at the shrines of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Imam Hussein (AS), and Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala. Finally, on Thursday, July 9th, the martyred leader’s body will be interred at the Razavi Shrine (AS) in Mashhad.
The funeral procession route in Tehran will include Damavand Street, Enghelab Street, Azadi Street, Azadi Square, and Shahid Lashgari Street.
