Russia Denounces NATO’s Aggressive Posturing as Fabricated Threat

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Vladislav Maslennikov, Head of the European Affairs Department at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that NATO members are fabricating a pretext of an imminent threat from Moscow to legitimize their preparations for a large-scale conflict.
Maslennikov commented on the outcomes of a recent summit in Ankara, noting that NATO’s designation of Russia as a threat is not a new development. He explained that this characterization first appeared in NATO’s strategic concept in 2022 and has been consistently included in their statements annually since then.
The Russian official elaborated that this fabricated threat serves to justify NATO’s aggressive maneuvers aimed at initiating a major conflict. These justifications, he indicated, include increased military spending and the expansion of military-industrial facilities.
