Iranian Parliament Speaker Warns of Consequences for Broken Commitments

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has issued a stern warning, stating that the era of unilateral agreements has ended and that those who fail to adhere to their commitments will face consequences. This comes amid reports of the IRGC targeting U.S. Navy aircraft carrier logistics centers and refueling platforms.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, posted a message on the social media platform X, declaring an end to unilateral agreements and reiterating a previous warning: “Fulfill your promises and commitments, or you will pay the price.” He added, “Now you must face reality.”

Reports also indicate that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has destroyed logistical centers and refueling platforms belonging to U.S. aircraft carriers.

Ghalibaf further shared a portion of the fifth clause of a 14-point memorandum of understanding, which emphasizes the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with “Iranian arrangements,” as an attachment to his tweet.
