Senior Iraqi Military Official Inspects Khosravi Border Crossing for Arbaeen Pilgrims

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Qais Al-Muhammadawi, Deputy Commander of Iraq‘s Joint Operations Command, visited the Al-Mundhiriyah (Khosravi) border crossing on Tuesday. The visit aimed to review operational progress and preparations for welcoming pilgrims.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the Iranian side at the border, where both parties agreed on joint coordination mechanisms to ensure the smooth transit of Arbaeen pilgrims. Iran and Iraq reached an agreement on direct coordination regarding thorough inspection procedures, the integration of security data and information, and the determination of the number of pilgrims permitted to enter Iraq through this border.
Discussions also covered a unified transportation plan, including providing transport from the borders and then dispatching pilgrims to holy cities. Both nations conferred on the provision and coordination of all services, particularly ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply.
Al-Muhammadawi emphasized the implementation of plans according to defined timelines, the review of previous reports to identify and promptly resolve weaknesses, and the reinforcement of forces to facilitate pilgrim entry procedures.
