Iran Bolsters Fleet Amidst U.S. Maritime Blockade Concerns, American Media Reports

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, American media have acknowledged Iran‘s efforts to bolster its fleet of oil tankers and ships, indicating preparations for a possible maritime blockade by the United States. CNN reported that these actions, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, are seen as a response to mitigate the impact of U.S. sanctions on the nation’s oil exports.
The report highlights the difficulty in identifying vessels used by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz due to the disabling of tracking systems or the use of foreign flags. Over the past years, Iran has employed various methods to sell its oil on global markets, with a significant portion directed towards China. This oil is often exported through complex routes designed to conceal its origin.
Furthermore, the report notes that Iran has recently been engaged in selling substantial volumes of its oil, underscoring its continued efforts to maintain its oil trade despite international pressures.
