Moscow Slams Polish Military Drills Near Russian, Belarusian Borders

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated on Wednesday that Poland’s military drills on the borders of Russia and Belarus are an attempt by Warsaw to project power and a sign of irresponsibility from the Polish political elite. She further asserted that Western countries aim to seize Ukraine’s natural resources as reparations or interest on loans granted.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson elaborated that Russia views the plans to establish a European missile coalition as another step towards bringing Kyiv closer to NATO’s framework and approach. Zakharova indicated that the initiative to create a joint European missile coalition does not pursue purely defensive objectives.
Maria Zakharova also commented on the United States’ stance, which has raised the possibility of resuming nuclear testing. She described this as a concerning development, suggesting that Washington intends to act without regard for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.
