Kuwait Acknowledges Damage to Civilian Facilities Following Iranian Attacks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kuwait has acknowledged that Iranian missile and drone attacks have caused damage to its civilian facilities. Saeed Al-Atwan, spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, stated in a release that Kuwaiti armed forces identified and intercepted hostile ballistic missiles and drones in the country’s airspace early Sunday. Al-Atwan asserted that Iranian attacks continue to target the nation’s civilian and vital installations.

He claimed these strikes impacted facilities under the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, leading to fires and substantial damage to several of its critical units. Previously, on Friday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy had reported that one of its desalination plants, responsible for electricity and water production, was attacked, resulting in a fire and damage to numerous power generation units.

Tehran has repeatedly warned that any hostile action originating from countries hosting American bases will be met with a regrettable response.
