US Attacks Near Darkhovin Nuclear Power Plant Cause No Damage
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hashem Khanefripour Ja’fari, the representative of Shadegan in the Khuzestan province’s parliament, stated that recent American attacks on Iran will not yield results and will not weaken the capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the foundation of its strength lies in the iron will of its people. He emphasized that Iran’s armed forces are powerful and have inflicted heavy blows on the enemy, including American bases in Jordan and other countries in the Persian Gulf region, causing substantial enemy casualties, although the enemy is reluctant to release accurate figures.
Pour Ja’fari noted that refueling aircraft deployed to the Middle East for support lack a secure operational environment. He further commented that while the United States believes it is delivering significant blows, many of these attacks do not even reach their intended targets and have no overall impact on their objectives.
Regarding the strikes on Shadegan, the representative highlighted that hitting locations such as water treatment plants or empty sheds would not affect the overall course of affairs. In the past four to five days, strikes were carried out in the Shadegan region targeting water treatment facilities and some empty sheds. Additionally, early yesterday morning, other attacks occurred on the periphery of the Darkhovin nuclear power plant. However, based on available information, these attacks had no discernible impact or caused serious damage.
Pour Ja’fari reported that 16 attacks were conducted around the Darkhovin facility yesterday, causing minimal damage and no fatalities. He stressed that these actions would only further strengthen the resolve of the Iranian people, who are prepared to sacrifice for their homeland, and these strikes would not affect their determination.
The Shadegan representative also addressed the recent cancellation of rolling blackouts in Hormozgan province by the Minister of Energy and the intensifying heat in Khuzestan. He demanded that the Minister of Energy, given that the entire southern region of the country is affected and facing power outages, completely abolish all scheduled power blackouts in Khuzestan and Bushehr provinces.
Pour Ja’fari predicted that temperatures in Khuzestan would reach 51 or 52 degrees Celsius today, noting that the province experienced a high of 51 degrees yesterday at 3:00 PM. He stated that the continuation of holidays and remote work in Khuzestan is necessary, but the elimination of power outages during this extreme heat is a vital demand.
