US Official Warns of Missile Shortage in Confrontation with Iran

A U.S. official has expressed concerns over a significant shortage of missiles, stating the country lacks sufficient arsenal to engage in a full-scale conflict with Iran and maintain operational security.

A U.S. official has revealed that the United States faces a shortage of missiles required to enter into a comprehensive war with Iran. The official indicated that the current missile reserves are insufficient for ensuring operational security, and expressed doubt that the White House is fully aware of this critical deficit.

International media outlets had previously reported that U.S. incursions into Iran and the Islamic Republic’s decisive response in recent months led to a substantial depletion of American missile stockpiles. This depletion occurred as expensive missiles from THAAD and Patriot systems had to be fired to intercept relatively inexpensive drones, with the limited annual production capacity of these missiles being a significant factor.
