Russia Recaptures Kharkiv Settlement, Destroys 650 Ukrainian Drones

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense has announced significant advances on the battlefield, including the liberation of the settlement of Volokhivske in the Kharkiv region. The ministry also reported the destruction of a large number of Ukrainian aerial vehicles and guided munitions.
In a statement detailing recent operations, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that its armed forces have successfully recaptured Volokhivske. The ministry further disclosed that over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have neutralized 11 guided bombs, seven long-range ‘Flamingo’ missiles, and a total of 655 Ukrainian drones.
The conflict’s roots trace back to February 21, 2022, when Russian President Vladimir Putin recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the Donbas region, citing Western disregard for Moscow’s security concerns. Three days later, on February 24, 2022, President Putin initiated what he termed a “special military operation” against Ukraine, escalating the already tense relations between Moscow and Kyiv into full-scale military confrontation.
In response to Russia’s actions, the United States and its Western allies have implemented extensive sanctions against Moscow and have provided billions of dollars worth of military aid and equipment to Kyiv.
