Lebanese Prime Minister Working to Secure Israeli Withdrawal from Lebanon

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, who also serves as the Minister of Defense and Chief of Staff of the Army, has arrived in the West Zoutar area of southern Lebanon. The Prime Minister’s office announced the arrival of the delegation to the region.

During his remarks in the south, Prime Minister Salam stated, “Concurrently with the deployment of the army in this area, we will begin the process of reopening routes and providing services.” He added, “We continue our efforts to ensure Israel’s withdrawal from all Lebanese territory. The return of life to southern Lebanon is not just a slogan, but a national goal and an expression of unity in this country.”

The report from Al Jazeera, as published by the Mehr News Agency, highlights that the signing of a framework agreement between the Western-aligned government in Beirut and the Israeli regime has not halted the occupation forces’ attacks against Lebanon. Simultaneously, the Lebanese government is reportedly pursuing the disarmament of Hezbollah, in line with directives from the United States.
