Pakistan and Oman Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pakistan‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced a meeting between Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the country’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on the social media platform X that Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, met with Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, during the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) summit in Manila. Both senior officials expressed satisfaction with the positive progress of bilateral cooperation. They agreed to further strengthen cooperation through high-level exchanges, expanding trade and investment, people-to-people contacts, reinforcing business ties between the private sectors, and maintaining coordination in multilateral forums.

Islamabad added in its statement that they also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments. Oman’s Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting dialogue, de-escalation, and establishing regional peace and security. While expressing concern over recent developments in the region, both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire (between Tehran and Washington), adhering to international law, and striving for lasting peace and stability in the region. They agreed to continue close contact.
