Hamas Chief Urges Egypt, Qatar, Turkey to Ensure Israeli Compliance with Ceasefire
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Khaled Meshaal, the head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, has sent messages to the leaders of mediating countries in ceasefire negotiations, including Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey. He urged them to employ all necessary efforts to compel the Israeli regime to cease its aggressions and fulfill its commitments under signed agreements.
In these messages, Meshaal detailed the daily aggressions by the Israeli regime in Gaza, stating that the occupying Israeli regime continues its attacks and has deliberately intensified its bloody crimes and aggressions in recent days. He asserted that these actions are intended to prevent an agreement that would ensure security, stability, and a dignified life for the Palestinian people.
Meshaal’s message further elaborated that these aggressions encompass all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip. This includes the intentional killing and direct targeting of civilians, resulting in thousands of innocent casualties and the destruction of hundreds of homes and facilities, as well as the re-occupation of new areas of Gaza. The head of Hamas’s Political Bureau added that the occupying regime continues to impede the entry of food, medicine, essential supplies, and humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. The volume of incoming items is reportedly less than the minimum requirements. The regime is also preventing the entry of reconstruction materials previously agreed upon for repairing hospitals, municipalities, and public facilities.
Meshaal announced that the number of martyrs from these aggressions has reached 1,143, with 409 being women, children, and the elderly. The total number of injured after the agreement stands at 3,616, of whom 1,789 are children, women, or the elderly.
The head of Hamas’s Political Bureau emphasized that these dangerous and deliberate aggressions demonstrate that the occupying Israeli regime is intentionally challenging the will of the guarantor states and the international community supporting the agreement. He noted their efforts to finalize the agreement and move to the second phase of the Donald Trump plan. Meshaal concluded that these circumstances necessitate swift action from the guarantor states to preserve the agreement and ensure the success of efforts to complete the subsequent stages.
