US Military Officials Express Concern Over Declining Missile and Guided Weapons Stockpile in Middle East
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, CBS News, citing U.S. military officials, has reported that the pace at which interceptor missiles and guided weapons are being utilized in the Middle East has alarmed the Trump administration.
The American media outlet further emphasized that this situation has generated concerns regarding the United States’ preparedness for any potential conflict in the Indo-Pacific region.
CBS News indicated that the dwindling inventory of interceptor and long-range missiles has become a sensitive issue for American leadership.
The New York Post recently published a report highlighting that analysts have been warning for months about the depletion of missile and interceptor weapon stockpiles, attributing this to the ongoing conflict against Iran and military aid to Ukraine.
The report recalled that the risks associated with America’s supply shortages became apparent when the Pentagon decided to withdraw some forces from Bahrain, the UAE, and Qatar, relocating them to Jordan, which Washington deemed safer. However, this move inadvertently positioned Jordan as a primary target for Iranian retaliation in the preceding week, resulting in the deaths of three American personnel stationed in the country.
