Yemeni Air Defense Forces Repel Saudi Warplanes

Yemen’s air defense forces successfully prevented Saudi warplanes from entering the country’s airspace, forcing them to retreat amid ongoing hostilities. The incident follows a night of Saudi airstrikes on Yemen’s Al Hudaydah port.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a military source within Yemen‘s Ministry of Defense announced that the nation’s air defense system has effectively thwarted attempts by Saudi fighter jets to breach Yemeni airspace. This action compelled the Saudi aircraft to withdraw following engagement with Yemeni air defense batteries.

The report, which cites Al Masirah and Mehr News Agency, detailed that Saudi warplanes conducted airstrikes on Yemen’s Al Hudaydah port during the previous night, aligning with Riyadh’s antagonistic policies towards Sana’a.

Yemeni armed forces have indicated that a significant statement is expected to be issued at 3:00 PM local time (3:30 PM Tehran time). This forthcoming announcement is anticipated to provide comprehensive details regarding a crucial military operation undertaken by the Yemeni armed forces.

Earlier today, Saudi Arabia experienced multiple early warning alerts, which disrupted air traffic at two of its airports. Local media also reported the sound of several explosions.
