Saudi Arabia and Pakistan Discuss Maritime Corridor Security in Phone Call

The Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan held a phone consultation on Saturday to discuss efforts aimed at ensuring the security and safety of maritime corridors, with a particular focus on the Red Sea.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabia‘s Foreign Minister and his Pakistani counterpart engaged in a phone conversation on Saturday to review strategies for guaranteeing the security and safety of maritime routes, including those in the Red Sea.

The discussion involved Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, and Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan. Both officials reviewed regional developments and underscored the importance of continued coordination and consultation.

The two ministers also emphasized the necessity of concerted efforts to de-escalate tensions, manage the current situation, and ensure the security and safety of international shipping lanes, especially in the Red Sea.
