Turkmenistan Condemns Ukraine’s Attack on Iranian Ship in Caspian Sea

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on Monday described the military attack on Iranian commercial ships in the Caspian Sea by Ukraine as “unacceptable.” This statement comes based on data published by Mehr News Agency, citing Xinhua News Agency.
In a statement released by its press department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan announced: “On July 25, 2026, reports emerged in international media regarding an attack on a vessel in the waters of the Caspian Sea. In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan declares that such actions are unacceptable.”
The ministry, referencing the regional standing and diplomatic principles of nations, underscored Turkmenistan’s commitment to maintaining stability in this body of water. The statement further emphasized: “Turkmenistan, as one of the coastal states of the Caspian Sea and a country with a permanent neutral status, emphasizes that the Caspian Sea is a sea of peace, peaceful coexistence, and good neighborliness.”
