Iraqi Resistance Denies Riyadh’s Claims on Attack Origins

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has issued a statement rejecting the Saudi government’s assertions that attacks on oil installations in eastern regions and Riyadh were carried out from Iraqi soil. The group stated that these allegations only serve to reinforce the belief that enmity towards Iraq and its people is a constant trait of the Saudi rulers.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq further asserted that the statements made by Saudi officials are an attempt to justify the kingdom’s inability to respond to the painful strikes by Yemen on Saudi infrastructure. They suggested these claims stem from concerns over the nature of future Yemeni responses.

The statement also issued a warning to Saudi Arabia, stating that any action taken against Iraq will be met with a severe response. The group added that Saudi officials should end the blockade of Yemen instead of leveling accusations against others, asserting that these accusations are an effort to justify failures and cover up Saudi Arabia’s performance.

Hours earlier, the Iraqi Council of Ministers announced that Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ali Faleh al-Zaidy, had ordered relevant security bodies to investigate the claims made by the Saudi Ministry of Defense. The ministry had alleged that oil facilities in eastern regions and Riyadh were targeted by drones that, according to Saudi intelligence, were launched from Iraqi territory.
