Iraq Arrests Ukraine-Linked Cells Involved in Attacks on Facilities

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi security forces have arrested several active cells operating within Iraq in the interests of Ukraine, implicated in multiple attacks against facilities on Iraqi soil. Qassem Al-Aboudi, Iraq’s National Security Advisor, revealed this development, citing intelligence data obtained by a specialized unit.
Speaking on the program “Hivar Ma’ Zeinab Rabie” broadcast by Al-Dajla channel, Al-Aboudi stated that an intelligence analysis unit had concluded that Ukraine was interfering in Iraq. He further disclosed that a limited number of groups, responsible for carrying out attacks and targeting several facilities within Iraq, were apprehended. During interrogations, these individuals confessed to working for Ukraine.
Al-Aboudi emphasized that the complexity of the attacks within Iraq necessitates further investigation to definitively assign responsibility. He did not specify the targeted facilities or whether these groups had conducted operations beyond Iraq’s borders.
