UN Urges Global Action to End Israeli Occupation and Halt West Bank Violence

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Nations Human Rights Office has announced that Israeli settler attacks and the expansion of settlements in the occupied West Bank have reached their highest point.

Ravina Shamdasani, spokesperson for the UN Human Rights Office, stated in a release: “We are alarmed by Israel’s announcement to further increase the number of settlements and bases, and the overt calls by Israeli leaders for vengeance and collective punishment against Palestinian communities, along with threats to turn the West Bank into another Gaza.”

Shamdasani urged the international community to “take immediate and coordinated action to stop the ongoing killings and dispossession of the Palestinian people and to end Israel’s occupation.”
